CWS Hygiene agrees to acquire Trautwein Mattenservice business

Dreieich, Germany, 5 October 2026 – CWS Hygiene has agreed to acquire the business of Trautwein Mattenservice, a regional floorcare rental and washroom services provider based in Leonberg, Germany.

Founded in 1989, Trautwein Mattenservice has served customers in the Stuttgart region for more than 35 years. Its customer contracts will become part of the CWS Hygiene Germany service network, strengthening the company’s regional presence in floorcare and washroom services.

The planned acquisition is a focused regional bolt-on that fits well with the existing CWS Hygiene infrastructure in Germany. It supports the company’s ability to serve customers in and around Stuttgart with reliable hygiene and floorcare solutions, while making use of its established route network, operational setup and washing capacity.

The transaction also supports CWS Hygiene’s buy-and-build strategy across Europe. By integrating regional businesses with strong customer relationships into its existing service network, CWS Hygiene continues to strengthen its position in selected markets and expand its offering for customers.

Strengthening the regional service network

The transaction is expected to be completed later this year. Financial terms were not disclosed.
